Anna Pemberton Therapist in Baltimore Specializing in Brainspotting

You’ve tried talk therapy, yet the pain you’re struggling with still lingers, unresolved.

You’ve been lying awake at night, the weight of anxiety gripping you tighter with every passing hour. Panic attacks have returned, and lately, it feels like hopelessness has taken hold.

When you face emotional or physical pain, there’s often a disconnect between your thoughts and your deeper feelings. This gap hides a layer of experience that’s not fully captured by your conscious mind.

To continue the healing process, its critical to tap into the regions of the brain below the neocortex—areas where emotions and bodily sensations are stored.

Brainspotting is a transformative therapeutic technique that helps you access these deeper layers of your human experience.

By using eye positions, Brainspotting reaches the emotional and somatic experiences that are stored in the body and causing distress. We’ll begin by identifying what’s present for you in the moment—what’s truly bothering you, what’s carrying emotional charge.

Together, we’ll find a fixed point in space, a "brain spot," that resonates with your current experience. We have thousands of possible brain spots, and we’ll find the one that allows you to connect deeply with your feelings. This approach allows you to process and release what’s been holding you back.

The beauty of this process is its gentleness. You don’t have to force anything. Simply by being present with your emotions and sensations, the healing process can unfold naturally and at the pace of your unique nervous system.

With focused attention, we can release stored trauma, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity, peace, and the possibility of a different future. You’ll tap into your body’s wisdom, inner strength, and knowing to guide the process. It’s an opportunity to not just heal but to reclaim your life.

Brainspotting is empowering because it encourages you to become your own source for healing.
